BlueSiMan
My RF-3's are hooked up to a Yamaha RX-V795 reciever via Audioquest Slate cables. My current center channel is a Boston Acustics CR-1 (which is crap). The Boston lacks any kind of range and detail. Can you help? By the way, The RF-3"s are by far the best speaker that I have ever heard, they don't even compare to a set of Totem's (that cost about $5000/pair) that I recently auditioned in my home. Mr-Bob
I am happy your ears are pleased. They will deffinately be more pleased when you get the matching center channel speaker. Enjoy.
PhilH
BlueSiMan: ....and that perfect center channel match is the RC-3. PhilH
myram
Go with the RC-3 for the center channel and the RS-3's for the rear surrounds. bensilb
BlueSiMan, Absolutly without any doubt, stay in the Reference line. The center channel you need is the RC-3. I have a Yamaha RX-V1000 and I don't have to change any settings for the RC-3 and RF-3 mix. They match perfectly.
jefnel1
Absolutely, positively, without a doubt go with the RC-3 for the center and the RS-3 set for surrounds. To save money initially, I went with Synergy SS-1 surrounds. Eventually, I traded them in for the RS-3 set. Don't compromise now, and you'll be spared the trouble of upgrading. Get the entire reference set and you will be more than satisfied for years to come. ------------------ A/V System: Pioneer Elite VSX-36TX Philips CDR-765 Sony CDP-CE345 Sony SLV-N60 Sony DVP-S530D Toshiba TN61X81 HDTV Klipsch RF-3 Mains Klipsch RC-3 Center Klipsch SS-1 Surrounds BA PV-600 Sub Monster Cable Connections Monster Power HTS2000
decibel man
Blue, I might be selling my black pair of RS-3's so I can get a white pair. Email me if you are interested. JT All reference, all the time!
ERIK
By all means, d what ever you have to to get the RC-3 as your center. There is no way you can go wrong, it is in my eyes the perfect match.
USparc
Not so obvious. Ok for the centerspeaker the matching RC-3 for placement issues. But the rear's???? I have for the rear the same as the front: RF-3's. It is always better to match all the speakers and what a difference with those rear RF-3's. If I could, I would have one more RF-3 for the center channel, but that is just not possible or is it. Let me know. ------------------ ------------------------- Receiver: Onkyo 676 DVD: Pioneer DV-525 Screen: Thomson 46" RetroProjection Front: RF-3's Rear: RF-3's Center: RC-
