Stephen328
Im working on building my first amp (solid state). Finding the majority of the parts is quite simple, but when it comes to the chassis I have had no suck luck. Does anyone know where I could find a decent Chassis????? Thanks
garymd
Post this in 2-channel forum and you'll get more responses. I know many of those amp gurus only look there.
tpg
Depending on the size/type of chassis... look to: Mouser Parts Express Welborne Labs Digi-Key Parts ConneXion Angela Instruments Antique Electronics Supply It seems like you might want a nice medium sized Hammond case since you are doing SS... they are very nice looking. Mighty Favog
Remember, Bob Carver put his first one in a 2lb. coffee can....
jt1stcav
Which reminds me...my dad built me my first crystal radio (AM, natch) back in '69 when I was 7, using a candy tin kinda similar to this one. Quite the chassis, is it not? Sure beats a Chockful O' Nuts or Folgers coffee can!
