khorn58
I have a old 60,s Cornwall with a clear PKW logo. It looks just like the normal pie logo but is clear, not black with gold or silver. what years were they used? Anyone have one one ther klipsch? How many diffrent logos were used on the vintage klipsch?? I could not get my pic to load tonight of the logo!
Allan Songer
My 1964 Cornwalls have the black emblems, so the changeover must have been before then . . . .
jt1stcav
This clear PWK pie-slice logo is on a pair of 1962 verticle Cornwalls that sold on eBay recently. I also like the clear Klipschorn plaque that were on the early Khorns of the 50's (and before?). What's the serial numbers on your Cornwalls? Good2BHome
Actually the picture above is of 1968 Cornwalls,(the owner originally claimed they were 1962). I have observed the same on a 1969 pair. What are your serial numbers? Mike
khorn58
Thanks for posting the pic of the clear Pwk pie Logo (I typed it right this time). That is the same as mine which is on a 68 cabnet I think. The ones on ebay that you posted the pic from turned out to be 68 cabnets also. so maybe they were used only in 68 as I have a 67 cabnet with the black logo.. The serial # of my new to me 68 is 1h182. BTW my 60 cornwall with rear port and TV Style front has a clear Klipsch tag a lot like the 50,s Khorns had.but just says klipsch not Klipschorn. What was the first year for the PIE logo maybe 61? Somthing about Cornwalls So many mysterys!
jhawk92
My '68 K-horns have the clear logos. I like them alot with the cane grills.
jt1stcav
Are there clear "Klipsch" nameplates as well? These old horn speakers had so much character back in the day, with their cane grilles and unique nameplates. Oh, and I believe the "H" designation on your Cornwall's SN makes it a '69 model. khorn58
I have seen clear block letterd Klipsch tags (all the same type) on the following.. 51 khorn and 60 cornwall and 59 short horn. I have seen the Script letterd (like above post) in clear on 58 and 59 khorns. Also same type as above but in black letters white back ground on style D model khorns. I tried posting pic's again tonight but They won't load?????

jt1stcav
I'm impressed with all the different logos that Klipsch & Associates came out within its 50+ lifespan. The clear acrylic nameplates are especially unique...wonder if anyone has ever collected any or all of them? Still, my all time favorite is the pie-slice...doesn't matter to me if it's clear or black plastic. Would love to see it come back for the new Heritage Series...hell, make that all of 'em!
