Piranha
Glad to see you have a sense of humour. Enjoy your new amp. Let us know how you like it tomorrow. Leave it on all night if you're close by. That way the new parts will start to wear in. It will sound better and better as the caps and tubes settle in. T_Shomaker
Do I just turn the amp on or do I turn the speakers on too?
mike stehr
I'd just leave it off. Why just let it sit there and idle? You might as well be listening to the amp.
Piranha
Ask Craig what he thinks since he rebuilt it.

Hopefully he understands that the new tubes, caps etc. need some time to settle in. ---------------- Believe this bit! Your amp will sound so much better after a month of operation! I didn't buy into this concept when I had my preamp/amp rebuilt, but time has converted my thinking. Enjoy! Forrest
Dflip
As a general rule, don't leave the amp on unattended. If you are in the house, leave it on and let the caps "burn in". Somewhere between 100 and 200 hours and you will notice a very pleasant change in the sound.
NOSValves
I seriously don't think the caps in Taylor's amp will require much more breakin I ran the amp for 3 days straight without any signs of change. This amp does not have the pesky Auricaps that take extended breakin. They may open up some though not sure !! Craig
