Rob's Klipsch
Hello Everyone, Here are 4 pictures of my ALKs. The project was a "joint" venture between my father and I. All the work was performed by my father since I live in Germany and he is in Texas, I consulted! We built 2 sets one for his Horns and one for my LaScalas. We designed the label ourselves and had it printed by a label maker. I've fallen in love with the sound of the crossovers and have nothing but good things to say about Al and his wonderful design!! Thanks Al! Please enjoy the pictures and let me know what you think. Oh, I know that the vertical inductors lean a bit, it is due to the windings and cannot be helped! Al Klappenberger
Rob, Now that it's too late, here's how to make the coils sit square. The materail is cut up rubber table place mats. A second layer across the entire coil gives a little more "squash" for the cable ties to compress. I always use two layers. The first one shown in the picture levels the bottom. Al K. IndyKlipschFan
Rob.. What model were your old x over networks, and are you getting rid of them too?
Tom Mobley
Also now that it's too late, I used little pieces of nylon wire tie to straighten up my inductors, I just couldn't stand them leaning. Tom

Rob's Klipsch
Wolfram, I'm familar with that area, I lived in Heinsburg for 4 years and used to go the Altstadt in Dusseldorf at night and the mall in Oberhausen on the weekends. I might take you up on your offer if I am ever in that neck of the woods. I am interested in seeing all your amps! Rob
dubai2000
Rob, do so, you'll be most welcome.....after all living in Europe usually means that one doesn't have many chances of meeting other forum members face to face... . Wolfram
