HDBRbuilder
Bryan750, Is yours a K55V (the grey-painted AlNiCo one with the rounded corners on its rear)? Edit: Look at your post in the other section on your Heresy problem. More info for you there.
Daddy Dee
Bryan, I do not believe that Klipsch parts handles this driver anymore. There are some good options though. First, perhaps it is only the diaphragm that is blown. This is easily replaceable. I wasn't sure from what you mentioned about your diagnostics if you had determined that the voice coil was blown or not. Fortunately, the K55 drives seem to be quite rugged. BEC, a member of this forum stocks these parts in his business. He's got both the diaphragms for the K77 and K55 drivers and has the entire assembly available if the whole thing is shot. He's also got some parts on Ebay, but you could locate him through a pm on the forum. In looking around on the internet, I have found that his prices are very good. The Atlas PD-5VH driver, the K55, is still out there available at some prices that you can see the sellers are proud of 'em.
JohnA
Bob Crites can supply diaphragms or any pro-audio shop can fix it. The OEM name is Atlas PD5-VH. It is still in production. Expect less then $60.
