Johnny dB
I just found out my center ch. Heresy has a blown woofer!! I think it was by old lady that blew it, too. Klipsch wants $80 for one and if I can't find one used that will be the route I go.
Frzninvt
There is always one or two on eBay, but with a woofer like that you just don't know what you are going to get and how it was previously used. I would suck it up and buy a new one you will be much better off I am sure.
Klipsch Employees Trey Cannon Posted June 2, 2004 Klipsch Employees Share Posted June 2, 2004 The K-28-E is a better woofer...it will give you a bit more LF and take more power...
Johnny dB
Trey, Is the K-28-E available new?
formica
I have one ugly K-22-EF (but fully functional) that I'd let go cheap... but I'm not sure if the shipping would be worth your while? The cone is faded in colour and the dust cap which had been pushed in has two claw holes in it. It came in a pair of fixer-upper Heresys with one blown woofer... so i replaced both and kept the working one as a spare... figuring I'd buy a new dust cap. I don't have any front pictures of it with me, but here is the rear view of the K-22-EF. I can post others... Later... Rob
Rdmarsiii
You could get the K-28 for it that gives it a solid freq. response down to 39 hz.
garymd
I have a perfect one that came out of my '72 heresy. I'll sell it to you if you decide you want it. It has the orange surround. I paid $55 to get a black surround K22-K(?) after my heresys were made into decorator models with no grills. Let me know.
formica
BTW... this is an image of the front, it gives a good idea about what I mean. If anyone else is interested, let me know as well. Do you guys think 18$ would be too much?
Johnny dB
Formica, $18 for your K22 is reasonable, but like you said; shipping from Canada would be silly. Gary, you have a PM.
