lynnm
Hit a garage sale and saw a Bose Wave Radio with a bad power cord,no remote and no price tag. Expecting a ridiculous quote I asked what they wanted for it. The price was ridicalickalickolous ! Three Dollars ! I took it home and replaced the power cord. One damned nice sounding radio ! I'll still keep the Tube amp and the Khorns for my main system though At full retail the Wave Radio is grossly overpriced but at C$3.00 it makes one hello of a good kitchen radio. edwinr
Well done. I think Bose hit the jackpot with the wave radio design. You're right though, if Bose dropped the price a bit, I'd even consider one myself for the kitchen.
Rdmarsiii
I heard one, and I thought it sounded great. Not great enough for the price they want for it, maybe if they took a few hundred dollars off.
T_Shomaker
I went to a party and there was a bose wave radio being used as the stereo. It was really loud and when I walked in I was looking for a huge stereo but all I saw was the wave radio and I was very suprised.
3dzapper
Lynn you could buy a pair of good tubes for the price you can get on ebay for that Wave. Rick
Jay481985
I will admit I went to the Bose store a couple times, I live in NJ and all we have are malls And the waveradio is not that bad but for the price its just too much but I believe there are other competitors that are about 300 dollars and supposedly better in sound quality compared to the bose
lynnm
The Tivoli is a damned fine alternative to the Bose and is IMHO nicer looking. I wouldn't go more than $5.00 for one though ! OK ! Maybe $6.

fini
Good score, Lynnm! I picked up one of those Bose AM-5 systems (cd receiver, sub, 2 cubes) last year at a thrift store for $35. Bought a new power cord, did a good clean-up, and sold it on eBay for $450! Gave the money to my wife and kids for Christmas...
Jay481985
hey lynnm since you have no remote you can goto ebay and buy a radio remote for about 15 dollars. here are a couple websites http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=15065&item=5705844803&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=15065&item=5705849523&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=15065&item=5705845013&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=15065&item=5705845182&rd=
