007
http://svsubwoofers.com/subs_pb10_isd.htm I'm sure this new budget breaker will let a whole new slue of people on the svs train. Its front firing, front ported too which is interesting!
007
I should also mention the pb2-ultra dropped to 1800! for a limited time in the black (non wood) finish. 1800 for that sub is insane!
formica
From the SVS website.... ---------------- Compact size: 15" wide x 18" high x 21" deep ---------------- Thats compact?? Perhaps by "their" standards... but the 10" driver looks a little lost on the 15"x18" face... BTW, Acoustic Visions has also released a compact 10" subcalled the Acoustic Visions MRS-10, featuring the XBL2 tech. It appears to be the same unit as the CreativeSound CSS CLARUSX10200 that's been out in Canada for a couple of months. Both have the same Adire Audio XBL2 10" driver
nicholtl
Oooh, I may just have to order one of these bad boys to replace my crappy Cerwin Vega 12" in my bedroom. Not to mention the fact that girls love subs...(Howard Stern's "Private Parts")
Ignignokt
Anyone had any experience with this new 10" SVS subwoofer yet? I'd like to know how it performs
nicholtl
Well you can't even preorder it until the 15th of this month...so I'm pretty sure nobody has tried it yet.
Ignignokt
Oh I see. I thought it was already out, my bad.
007
The stats look awesome only -3dB @ 18hrz from a 10" that is DAMN impressive! but yes, this sub is nearly the same size as the pb1-isd, its not very small. I do however like the front firing front port idea. building this sub flush into a wall is a possibility!
Beesley
Can someone explain F8, F3, FXXXX to me? I'm not too experienced with Subs (Other than knowing what sounds good to me) but the it looks like this sub has a VERY flat response, pretty sweet claims......and from what I hear, SVS is pretty good in backing up their claims
tpg
Wow... looks nice. Might have to pick one of these up. lol I am turning into TheEAR. Beesley- F3 is the -3dB point... F8 would be a -8dB point I guess... but I haven't seen F8 used... only F3 and F10 (-10dB).
yromj
Tom is supposed to let one of the more respected members of the S&V forums compare the new 10" to the Vance Dickason sub. Sort of a mini-shootout. A sunfire sub will probably also be in the mix, since he has one. You can check here for some details about how it came to be. Acoustic Visions is trying to play Sunfire, sorry size for size the Signarure whips these pretenders like mules. test will show,I am not wrong often when it comes to subs...XBL or not
