damonrpayne
Whether or not you think the whole "Superbit" thing is Snake Oil, man what a great movie, and DTS sound to boot! Very powerful film in many ways, and my favorite even over classics like Platoon.

picky
ygmn: Great news, you "cheap b*st*rd"! (-JK ) The Superbit version is cheaper than the standard version!!! Amazon has them both listed as follows: 3-Disc Deluxe Version: $34.76 Superbit: $24.26 Must be because they leave all that filler stuff out of the Superbit version? picky
I received the Superbit verison of this film yesterday as part of a belated birthday gift. I watched about half of it immediately. Most of the outdoor scenes appear to have been filmed with the heavy use of some sort of filtering as the movie tends to have a yellowish cast with a highly contrasted look to it. On the indoor scenes; not so much. Although clear, the sound was sort of less remarkable than in some of the newer film releases I've seen such as 'Open Range' where the gunshots punch you right in the chest. Still, this movie appears to be a keeper. This is the first time I've seen 'Blackhawk Down'.
