My Forte's have the K-75-K, and Heresy II's & the Academy use the K-76-K what makes them different if they share the same diaphram? Could the K-76-K be used in the Forte'? BEC Posted October 18, 2004 Share Posted October 18, 2004 i don't have a K-75-K handy to look at, but I just compared a K-76-K to a K-74-K. jerohm Posted October 18, 2004 Share Posted October 18, 2004 The IDENTICAL horn and diaphragm are shared between the K76 (Quartet, Heresy II, others), K75(Forte), and K79(Chorus, others). The size of their magnet structures (and efficiency) are different, where K79 > K75 > K76. But for WHATEVER reason, the K76 (with the smallest magnet) sounds (to me) more shrill than the other two.
