Without the attenuators in the circuit you're probably getting the full output of the coaxial tweeter. Maybe. Buy an L-pad from Parts Express and wire it in and see what happens. I can imagine those speakers sounding very good; Knight sourced some drivers from such excellent companies as EV and Goodmans. And they look like good quality drivers.
