Mycroft
I'm changing my room around and no longer have the right space for my K-horns (no, I'm not selling them ;-) and want to find a nice pair of Cornwalls. Are Cornwall I's or II's more desireable? I'll entertain either. Prefer SF Bay area. thanks! wfrancis@anticlockwise.com
ShapeShifter
Below are links to current Cornwall auctions on Ebay by location: Ogden, UT http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1265129577 Atlanta, GA http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1265433739 In this same forum, there's a post on a pair for sale by a BB Member. However, I believe they are in the New England area. Regarding I's vs. II's.... I have pair of early 70's Vertical II's and a pair 85 I's and have not heard the later version II's. Thus I can't comment on comparisons. Some say slight advantage goes to I's. Most do agree on one thing though, if you can buy either version at a good price, you won't be disappointed. Good Luck! fini
Unfortunately, I bought the last pair in existence. No more will be for sale, and they refuse to reintroduce the line. Klipsch's main man in the field, BobG, has been roaming the country destroying every Cornwall he can find. Cornwall owners beware! DO NOT LET BOBG INTO YOUR HOUSE! I have been leaving empty Bose boxes at the curb to decoy him away from my home. Thank God he never visits this board anymore... ShapeShifter
fini...thanks for the alert! I was wondering who that "MIB" was agressively ringing my door bell. He was wearing cool sun glasses and carring a oversized bass instrument case. Sledge hammer enclosed I suppose. How does one disguise Cornwalls? Signed: He who doesn't live here any more! fini
Steve, good call on the dresser disguise. Ive rigged mine up as spare rooms. Mycroft, I found mine in the SF Chron. They were located in Alameda, so they're out there. If I see some come up somewhere, do you want to be PM'd? I think one pair will be enough for me (unless I read any more of Jim Cornell's posts! ). Don't let down your guard (Bob could be anywhere)! fini
JLOUNDER
Maybe BobG is dismantling them to ship off to Jim Cornell. JL
