BillH2121
Is the idea of tube CD players like tube amplifiers - a sweeter, fatter sound? I prefer the sound of LPs to CDs - would a tube CD player be the answer for me? What is the price range for decent sounding player?
Guy Landau
It might be the answer for you. There's an excellent Jolida tube player for sale by one of the forum members.
arthurs
Second the Jolida for sale here if you get serious, I have it and it's terrific. Going to a tube cdp certainly improved my listening experience, YMMV.

arthurs
Carl - what other tubes have you rolled through your Jolida? Drop me a note on any impressions if you get the chance. I'm getting reay to embark on some tube experimenting. Currently have ElectroHarmonix 12AX7A's and they are overall good, but looking for something with more open top end. Thanks
steve
I'm certainly happy with my AH! Njoe Tjoeb player..the more it plays, the better the sound! It was certainly an improvement over any SS CD player I have used to date.. I got all the bells and whistles..the funny feet, power cord and upsampler..so the price was around 1400.00.but it certainly sounds worth it to me! BillH2121
My desire for a tube CD player will have to wait a while - probably a long while. I'm picking up a new MC2102 this evening. I'm finally going to get to experience the fantastic sensation of Mac tubes with my RF-7s. Yeehaw!
