No time to play with them yet, but the new SLX's have arrived too. Very nice!!! We also got a bunch of new Athena products in that are designed for flat panel applications. kenratboy Posted April 22, 2005 Share Posted April 22, 2005 THEY ARE HERE!!! Pulled a 12-incher out. I LOVE the fact the cabinet is now a rectangle (when looking from the top), looks good. MASSIVE port. Hi-end control panel (really good RCA plugs, certainly better than a $500 price point). Nice cosmetics (match the Synergy's well). Woofer looks to be very long throw. Only thing I didn't like was the woofer ***LOOKED*** cheap, as in, no fancy cosmetics or anything. This is fine, but Klipsch spent a lot of time making the woofers on the other speakers look cool, expected this on the sub, but most people don't care (downfiring and the performance speaks for itself) I have not heard it, but kinda worthless in the store. Might take it in and compare it with some REL's for fun. I would certainly buy one...or two. New SLX (did I get that right?) look really cool. Still not sure if the price is too high ($350/each). Three of those from the fronts, S1 surrounds, and a SW-12 sub will run about $1,750 and I am sure that would sound amazing. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
