Kain
Well? I am not sure which to get. But I like the cherry color, but the thing is that the RS-7s only come in black or white and so they won't match unless I get the whole set in black. What's your opinion? ------------------ Home Theater (getting soon): TV: Sony 34" FD Trinitron WEGA DVD: Sony DVP-S7700 Receiver: Yamaha RX-V3000 Speakers - Center: Klipsch RC-7 Mains: Klipsch RF-7 Surrounds: Klipsch RS-7 Subwoofer: None (Waiting for Klipsch RSW-15)
Anubis
I had a choice of any color and I still chose the black. I LOVE the way they look...better then the wood colored stuff. Plus, as you said, they match the other speakers. But go with what you want because you have to live with them. ------------------ --- ...transmission terminated... oogins
I think the cherry and the maple look really nice. However, I would want my speakers to match each other, and my components as well. So I would go with the black. ------------------ -Paul AMD T-Bird 900 Asus A7V Micron 256 MB PC-133 IBM 30 GB 7200 rpm ATA 100 Pioneer DVD-105 Slot-Load (16X/40X) 3Dfx Voodoo5 5500 AGP Sound Blaster Live! dougdrake2
The white RS-7s are really there for decor reasons, to more easily blend into the background when mounted on white walls. Whether you get black or white is up to how you want them to look on your walls, of course. I don't think the color necessarily has to match the front 3 speakers. For those, I'd go for what you think looks cool andrich-colored.
M6 Driver
Depends on the application Maple my favorite would fit into the Loft scene Cherry rather for the smoking lounge, library, ritzy media room Black for a Dedicated Home Theater Room don't what to get distracted from the movie while gazing at the Klipsch setup my 2 cents ------------------ Thanks J KLF 30 Mains C7 Center 8.5 rears Yamaha RX-V995 Toshiba SD-1600 DVD Pioneer CLD-S201 LD Pioneer PD-M53 CD Sony 32 inch TV no subs till house built
Fried Elliott
My RX-7 was metallic blue, with the black interior and grey seat insets. Oops. Wrong forum. I agree with JTS8 --- he has it down perfect.
Quenten
Honestly...they don't have my favorite color. The most pleasing so far is their cherry finish, very partial to cherry (my wife too--the whole house has cherry furniture--the queen ann stuff/darker finish though). Idealy, if Klipsch would make a darker cherry version the gates to heaven would open pouring frakensence & myrth...oh I digress again & sorry bout the spelling.
