wheelman
Any chance the discs are scratched or burned backup copies? A scratched disc or a bad burn could cause that. Otherwise, try reinstalling your IDE drivers. Let me know whether that works. These were pretty much mint originals. I'm not sure how to reinstall IDE drivers. damonrpayne
Usually they would come with your motherboard since they are likely to be dependant on the chipset.
TheEAR
MOBO chipset drivers come on one of the drivers disk provided by the company or the motherboard CD if you purchased a clone. Very odd problem, may be time to do a Windows repair if the driver reinstallation fails. I have a few things in mind but describing them might be long. TheEAR
Jazdale, Great list you've made here, but where is Oblivion? Now Oblivion will make FEAR feel like a game written for budget PC's. []

wheelman
Well I got a new copy of "PITFALL- THE LOST EXPEDITION" to install. I only played a level, but I like how cartoonish it is, and the old nostalgic feel it has. I am getting a new drive so I will report back, and let yall know if the new drive will install my old games again. That an a new PSU a Fortron 450 watter dual +12v rail. Figure it was a good one for single CPU, and GPU usage.

darkside
The chances of anyone posting this are slim to non, but one word....Soldat For those that don't know, Soldat is a free sidescrolling shooter. It is horribly fun, almost addicting. Just google soldat, and have at it, and since its free, i recommend everyone try it, its just a quick download []
