If you hate watching a movie anywhere other than your house, even when you own a 27" Sony TV (from 15ft) and your friends have projectors, 46"LCDs etc -
I like your way of thinking... and Bose Hot Pockets

SAFETY ALERT:..... SERIOUSLY.... EVERYONE NEEDS TO WATCH THIS
chevellerh replied to Gilbert's topic in General Klipsch Info
Its no news to me that my house can be broken into.... I will agree not great to let everybody know, but if you make any kind of attempt, pretty much anyone can find it on the internet. This kinda stuff is everywhere. -
Same motherboard? Model? 9 degree F is not much of a difference, if the hotter was say 20 degrees higher it might last a not last quite as long, but prlly not a noticable amount of time. The cards are tested to substain high temperatures for very long times without failure. My guess is its just a read error, or different readings from 2 different motherboards. (130F is HOT, my CPU is at 85F right now[]) However, both temperatures will most likely be absolutely fine.

New PC question... what's fast these days?
chevellerh replied to Coytee's topic in General Klipsch Info
I would definitely recommend building your own computer. It can be done for MUCH less that 3500$, at least 2500$ could go to more audio equipment[]. I would recommend: (prices are just rough estimates) Intel Core 2 Duo (Conroe) ($200) at least 2 gb of DDR2 RAM (fairly inexpensive at this point) ($200) again a reputable motherboard ( PCI express compatiable IMO) ($100) decent graphics card (x1600pro, 6600gt, etc.) ($100) and raid 0 (twice the speed), 2 new Perpendicular 250 gb drives ($160) That would be a great system for a long while if taken care of, most of the time systems get conjested with all the random crap out there even if they are taken care of, I do what thepathlesstaken recommends where 10-20 GB is used for simply the OS and all your documents are on a seperate partition, so i can reload whenever without taking a long time to do so, a fresh OS is always very nice. However if you just want to improve performance of your current system i recommend running "msconfig" and going to startup tap and unchecking some things you know you dont want starting immediately, bc these take RAM and take forever to load on startup. -
I definitely agree Best Buy doesnt portrait Klipsch products as well as they could or should, but without best buy i may still be without a decent (not great, yet) audio setup. The one thing that really got me interested in Klipsch was the flyer offered about the Synergy III series, prlly the only company that offers actual spec sheets at best buy (not brochures showing all their pretty designs) I could tell this company actually was proud of its worksmanship, not like some other brands that gain most revenue based on reputation and presentation. Klipsch definitely should not become one of these companies buying there way into show rooms.... I think the quality is self evident

I am going to contact the seller, but it would not be a good idea for me too fully refund the speakers(shipping, etc.), therefore I guess I will repair them. Will they still carry parts for discontinued synergy 2? -
Well been saving for a pair of Klipsch Floorstanders for a while now.... about a week ago bought a pair of sf-3s. On arrival.....severally damaged... much more that depicted. Anyway, they sound good considering the damage. Could anyone give me some information on replacement parts, such as price, availablitiy and where to buy them? Im looking to replace a woofer, and maybe enclosure(Dont know how)....May end up making my own enclosure. Suggestions?
