mandi
The Heresys do great, but I plan on a couple of times turning the screen around to face the yard and street, using a table for the projector and putting the LaScalas out there. We might do that for the 4th and get one of the big grills from the banks.(several banks have big double grills on trailers that are free of charge, they do have big billboards on top for advertisement but they are great for neighborhood block parties) THIS ONE DID OKAY ALSO

mbajner
mandi you mentioned the size of the 4x8 sheet you cut down but what type did you buy? was it already coated or did you paint it? also, what front projector are you using I want to get a small one to try this out looks like lots-o-fun
mandi
I just picked up some MDF and painted it with exterior flat enamel. I have left it out but some have told me too much water will make it swell. But for the 12 bucks I spent I do not really want to move it that much. Plyboard would have been lighter but I thought it would bow faster. I am using a Dukane (borrowing it for the summer). I think if I was to purchase one I would get an Infocus 4805(I think that is the number). It does have to be dark, so right now we do a concert DVD from 7 to 9 while we grill and eat, able to see a little of the end and put the movie in at 9. So far Goonies Pirates of the Carribian National Treasure Sandlot Finding Nemo Pocahannas (I like the soundtrack) Lion King Doing Aviator tonight, since the kids are gone
wally flick
Looks awesome Mandi. Thats an excellent idea playing a concert DVD as a pregame waiting for it to get dark enough. Due to a scheduling conflict, our Premiere had to be re-scheduled. I did however find a picture from a Monday Night Football party October 04. Screen is King Size sheet, (7-8 feet wide). Ill post a pic from the newly scheduled July 4th week-end show. We will be screening Independence Day.
mandi
That is cool, and just how many things does PVC get used for. That is a great way to build the frame.
