damonrpayne
$10k is a bit steep but I'm sure street prices will be far less. I'm saving my pennies.
customsteve01
Home Media, my local HT store has a Sony Qualia 004 SXRD projector in there HT room. With a price tag of $23,000, the $10,000 price tag sounds pretty good. Not that I will be able to swing that kind of money. Sony is supose to come out with a rear projection TV with the same light engine in it. Steve
damonrpayne
Yes, they will be bringing a couple of full 1080p TVs to market soon. And people mocked me for saying 1080p support in the PS3 was useless!
redtop
FYI... This is a link to an overview of projectors just announced at CEDIA this last weekend. Looks like there is something for nearly every budget...[] http://www.projectorcentral.com/cedia_2005.htm Enjoy (and drool!) []
westcott
I would love to know what the video performance of the PS3 will be like using Blueray. I could kill two birds with one stone.

I could kill two birds with one stone. I hear that, I would really like to buy some of my favorite flicks in BluRay 1080p glory.
rplace
Redtop, you still have your Panasonic 700? I love mine but on the surface that new 900 looks mighty nice. Perhaps an upgrade is in my future...man it never ends does it?
redtop
Still got and still love it...[] I'll probably not do any projector changes until I move in a year or so. For me it about bang for the buck and IMO the improvements in the 900 don't have me panting for a new one. But then, I haven't seen one yet either...[] If you do the upgrade, be sure to report back here. I sure want to know what I'm missing... mmiles
Must admit it was "nice" but... The new 1080p prototype from Projection Designs was bad tail! For the money I like the DWIN TV4. Regards, Mike
