surfvs
I just ordered a Harman Kardon AVR240 receiver to replace my Yamaha RX-V490, it will be matched with my RF-3's. I think it will match up pretty good, anyone agree? Surfvs
IndyKlipschFan
HK's have a reputation for being warmer.. especially not as harsh as when you turn them up. You know the feeling you crank it up kinda loud and it is piercing... That's not to say this harshness is true of all Yamahas.. But seems to be true especially of the lower end best buy models... Tell us what YOU think... THAT is what is most important!

Speedball
Good Luck... I would be tempted to trade even up my Denon receiver for a Harmon Kardon just to hear my KG4.2's being driven by it. I've read many, many time how well they go together.

dsr
Many times I tested HK with klipsch speakers like KLF-20, RF-3 and KG 5.2 and sound very well, much better than all yamaha tested. IMHO only NAD receivers in some cases sound slightly better than the match of HK with klipsch. The other important thing is that at any volume level the sounds is the same, no harsh, no distortion, etc. Finally I think that HK are more reliable than NAD. tigerwoodKhorns
To anyone interested, I have an HK 630 dual powered receiver that I will sell for $75 plus shipping. It is a great, powerful unit but I just have too many stereos. Chris
