Cal, if I am reading your post right your current mains are black F1s? Then for sure you have to get these. Paint them black and the scratch is a non-issue. A 4 Forte HT would be killer. I really and I mean really liked my Chorus/Forte HT. Having them all the same would be just that much better for multichannel music.

Get on it man![6] Those on your shopping list will understand.

Thanks for all the help guys!!![;)]

It would have been so easy to just click on the buy it now button but I

got an attaboy from the wife last night when I told her I had passed on

the deal, THAT IS WORTH SOMETHING, RIGHT??[:D]

The grills and passives were a sweet deal from a forum member who had

parted out an old set of Fort'e 1s. The grills replaced my old ones

damaged in the "great car wreck" if you all remember it and the

passives were to be kept in reserve as spares for my F1s as they are no

longer available for replacement. The idea of gutting one of the

Heresys and adding a passive is an interesting idea for a center[:o] I

am currently using one of the pair of ported H1s (reworked to remove the

port and upgrade the xover) I bought about 3 months ago. The other is

still un-reworked and sitting on a shelf in my shop. HYMMMMM, spare

parts[:D]

Yes a matching set of F1s all around would be sweet but the

Heresys are doing such a great job that with a tight budget, I can't

even talk myself into it. Though painting them black to match my current mains would be sooooo easy to do![:$]
