Who owns the washing machine speakers (those white jobbies)?

I think those are owned by a member of the jbl forum, either Duke or Marvel posted that pic.... I cant remember

I can tell you where I went:

B&W 703's -- darned nice speakers, but the cost of expanding into a full 5/7.1 rig was too high, so...

ADS HT400LCR's -- darned nice little speakers. Actually more neutral than the B&W's, which were always a bit bright.

Anyway, that's where I went after k-horns.

Reminds me of a picture of a system I saw in Audio in the early '70s. It belonged to a guy whose name eludes me at the moment, but he'd made pretty decent money with a post-processor noise reduction system that lost to Ray Dolby in the long run.

Anyway, it had THREE such horns with 24" Hartley woofers all in poured concrete. Power was from a HOST of Phase Linear 700 amps wired to provide 25kw.

Pretty scary...
