Timmy Keteer
Hi! Just got my first pair of Klipsch speakers and all I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!! I bought them at the women's breast cancer thrift store. They raise money for the hospice. They charged me twenty-five dollars for the pair of speakers. I brought them home and hooked them up to my Yamaha natural sound receiver. I have never heard anything sound so good!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I am hooked for life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE THESE SPEAKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I just need to learn about them. I had heard about them before but now I know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Daddy Dee
Timmy, Congrats on your find and welcome to the forum. It is very cool to make a contribution to a worthy cause at the same time you acquire a pair of some of the finest speakers on the planet. Cornwalls are very fine speakers. Actually, you are in the top percentile of quality audio in the US. Very cool of your folks to let you bring those big rascals home. As well as being capable of rocking the house with rattling windows, Cornwalls can also put out some very good quality sound at volume levels that will be acceptable to your parents. Timmy Keteer
My dad says they are very good speakers. My mom says they are to brown to big and to LOUD! These things ROCK!!!!!!!!!!
charlieboy
Timmy you know I'm joking with you. Great score. In with the numbers should be some letters also. They will tell you what type of wood finish. Like for example CWL would be Cornwall Walnut Laquored. COO would be Cornwall Oiled Oak etc.... Daddy Dee
Your dad is right. You've got some killer speakers there. They sell on Ebay for $500 and up per pair. In really fine condition they can sell for as much as $800+ If you can make out the serial numbers on the label on the back, there is a code there which will indicate the date of manufacture. Daddy Dee
Hearing "new" musical material on your CD's is one of the real joys of audio. "Why aren't they everywhere?" Well, Timmy, you have to find out sometime. You are among a very few with such good taste in audio. [] Seriously, Klipsch is among the elite speaker builders in the world. thebes
Fantastic! Big speakers and the words "Turn it Down" go together. My brother bought the first real system in to our house, and the parents yelled those words all the time. One generation later I gave his daughter a kick butt system this summer and quess what he is yelling now. Enjoy the hell out of them.
