rockbobmel
What is the x-over point that your mod produces. Can I/Should I get more high mids through the horn? Thanks Much. Bob

Deang
The mod doesn't change the crossover point. The resistor value change is in the LCR, or notch circuit for the horn that's used to bring down its resonance peak. The mod knocks off 1.5dB at 3500Hz. rockbobmel
Thanks Dean. Sorry to sound dumb but what is the LCR? Also is it advisable to lower the res freq of the horn? When I had my amp that runs the woofers off, I was surpeised how little (very high freq only) comes through.

mpmiller1980
exactly what does the modification improve, I have a set of 7s and am wondering, could you build a set of crossovers, or give me a list of parts needed, to lets say build one from scratch, that way all components could be up graded? contact me email mpmiller1980@yahoo.com thanks allot

mpmiller1980
Yea I kind of winged it on this particular subwoofer, I didnt know how the flat piston was going to react to a vented inclosure, so I went a little big on the box and lots of internal bracing, it pushing a 2 ohm load it loud so I try to keep the crossover point low as possible so it only comes on when its really needed, I love listening to music so sometimes it tends to overpower my fronts. i built it to look like an end table its the second one Ive dont like this, everyone was asking where is that coming from and I point to the end table they are like wow. I cant wait to get started on my home theater project.
