lucasd2002
Anybody using these? The price seems pretty low. Are these good for entry-level setup? Thanks
Hunt
Guess not. ...never heard them, but with the Klipsch name, I can't imagine they would be that bad. Go listen to them and decide for yourself, or at least compare to some other brands to see what you like and what you don't like. Good luck. lucasd2002
I just want to know if this is some mystery model that gets offloaded to China while retaining the company name.
jtkinney
I have a pair that I use in the bedroom for music only. They won't keep up with K-Horns, but for what they are, they are not bad sounding.

Griffinator
The old SF-1's weren't bad - but they definitely didn't have the punch of the larger SF-3's or anything in the Ref series. For an entry-level setup, you could certainly do worse - plus they'll make nice rears when you upgrade to something more beefy in the mains. J.4knee
My maw-in-law has a set of SF1's. They are OK but again as Griff indicated they are the bottom end of the Klipsch floor standers. For her they do fine, but better options exist. The new Synergy line is much better IMO than its predecessor. If you can get them cheap enough I'd say yeah give it a shot but if you want a Synergy speaker get the new Synergy line.
bdto
Hello, I have SF-1s and really enjoy them. I think for their price, especially in the US, they're great speakers. To me, they sound best if you cut them round about 80Hz and give the 2 first octaves to a fast sub, because they're not very precise in the 40 to 80Hz range (and of course can't go down to 20Hz). The other slight issue would be that they get a bit harsh sounding when playing very loud, but honestly do very well at reasonable volumes. SF-1s are the speakers that made me like the Klipsch sound! [] And now most other brands sound kind of bland to my ears.
