TheEAR
Amy, The main website is well designed overall,a bit on the dark side color wise. Some may like it buy a lighter shade would be better IMO. Also under products, your pics should show frontal and back shots, plys maybe a shot or two of the drivers used. And this would be great to have pics of the woofers when looking at a sub,say a RSW10 II you have a pic of the sub, front and rear shot(focus on the rear panel, controls)and a pic of the woofer. This would help sell the products better,at least interest more people. Simple to do and effective. Klipsch uses great quality and quite impressive woofers(drivers)why hide them? Show them, show the quality inside. It helps sales

J.4knee
A function in the "find the dealer nearest you" where it actually distinguishes who has the products on display and those that just sell and install them. More bandwidth, most weekends this place barely crawls along.
kenratboy
Also, can I recommend a fundamental idea as many sites do about products: -The main product page is the basics, description, color, size, etc. -There is then the 'specs' button that takes you to a page FULL of specs, .pdf's, drawings, etc. The seperation will allow a simple, clean, friendly-to-all intro to the product, but anyone who wants the WHOLE STORY can click one one button and they will be swimming in info (BAD for the main product page, GREAT for the 'details' page). A lot of people shop and BUY based on what they find on the web site. A audio company not having TONS of info available is a HUGE detractor for many buyers. Also, having a .pdf download of EVERYTHING about the product (lets say 5-10 pages about the RF-83's, from specs to pictures to reviews) in one place would be cool to print and take to the dealer or just read while on the sh!tter. Basically, make it easy for the novice to get the info they need (color, size, matching products, etc.), and make it so the advanced user is SWIMMING in info (thats a GOOD thing for someone like me or anyone else on this forum!) DrWho
I also just wanted to add that better pics of the speakers are needed. Close-ups of the input terminals, ports, drivers, etc etc.....those rotatable zoomable 3D widgets are mega cool, though standard images would be nice too. To be honest, it seems as if the current photo dude doesn't have much interest in speakers because his shots are so not involving....I dunno how to describe it other than to say the "cool parts" aren't being accentuated. I know when I purchase anything - especially audio related - I simply go hunting around the internet and a lot of my decisions are made from pictures. I'll then go to my local brick and mortar store to support their business and be on my merry way. If I were in the market for speakers, I don't think I would be interested in Klipsch if it weren't for the forums and all the demo's I've had visiting people and the pilgrimage etc etc... A lot of the friends I recommend klipsch to have the same problem....they wanna do their research online and there simply isn't enough to go on from the website alone. Spkrdctr
You need to have some technical articles on the website. For example, a paper on what "was the goal in designing the new Ref series versus the old series?" If you need help, I can give your engineers some ideas on what people would like to read about when searching online for speakers. Some of the competitors websites are doing this and have for years. Legacy (Bill) has some very interesting reading on his website. What were the design goals for the SUB-12? Were they reached? What are the performance parameters of the Sub-12 versus the model it replaced? Why is it downfiring? Why not front firing? How did the engineers get so much performance in such an inexpensive package? What makes klipsch speakers sound like you are in front of a live singer on vocals and instrument solos? How do they put you "right there" in front of the performer? I could go on, but I think you get the point! It allows you to do a "Bose" and put your own information out in the marketplace on why Klipsch speakers are so good. If you have the greatest speakers in the world at a specific price point, sing about it LOUDLY, be proud. I'm always willing to help if needed. Klipsch Speakers- Better sound through better science! Gee, a catch phrase! Let's market these things.........
kenratboy
^^^^^ Listen to this man!!! ^^^^^ That is EXACTLY what Klipsch SHOULD be doing, but is not. If you need examples, dig around on B&W's web site. They have freaking DVD's about the new 800 Series!!! Also, for just some 'white papers' - there would be barely any cost in terms of making them and then getting them to market (in this case, putting them on the site). In this forum, we get to pick Trey's brain and learn some neat stuff (like the new Synergy sub has 2X this and 3X that over the old one...UMMMM, SAY IT LOUD AND SAY IT PROUD to everyone!!!) - this is the sort of stuff that would get people excited and interested in the products!
