Component Switch

Any recommendation for an INEXPENSIVE component switch? Basically

looking at the price range of around $50. I really don't need a high

tech one. Only one that works. I bought a new HDTV and it only has one

component input so I need one to switch between my Cable HD and my DVD

player. TIA

The Philips component switch didn't work out for me so I returned it. I

keep on losing signals for some reason with the display sometimes

showing washed out colors. Might be a faulty port or something.

Kept on looking for an alternative and decided to get a "powered" switcher instead. I got this unit

and it was an excellent buy imo. No lose signals at all. My Sony Bravia

HDTV unit tells me the signal input I'm getting whether it's 1080i (HD

Cable box) or 480P (progessive scan DVD player).

I got it for $56 free shipping from Buy.com. Just $6 over my budget - hehe.

I have two KDS component switches with remotes ($450.00 ea) and they work perfect. Now they went to DVI, then HDMI. The cheapest ones are built within the new TV sets. I expected them to be around $50.00 but we must keep the economy robust. I imagine that two years from now they will be 4 for $5.00 out the door.
