The RSW 15 sounds as awsome as it looks. Had some friends ovver to watch Planet of the Apes and they were blown away. A sub like this in the wrong hands could be dangerous. Not meant to be used inside city limits. Have yet to push this sub more than half. So far only one neighbor is pissed about his windows shaking.

Out!!

That sub looks good, but do you really need it with those RF-7. Maybe I have to try a sub. Up till now I have not feeling the need of a sub with my 4 RF-3's.

Just wondering: Are those RF-7's working good that close to the wall??

I'm also surprised that your TV can hold the 42 lbs weighing center.cwm36.gif

Have fun and be carefull with that sub Smile.gif

  • 2 weeks later...

Well the RF-7's have a mighty vicious punch down to around 35Hz.Subs always help,I have three Sunfire and one Carver sub filling the low end.

Sounds great, detail, clarity and power are the trademarks of my Klipsch/Sunfire setup.

Cant wait to get my hands on the RSW15.

USparc,

Do YOU need a subwoofer? You know,I can tell you the RF-7's have good bass down to 30Hz.30Hz is not 16Hz,then again do you listen to organ recordings,do you listen alot to movies(many have fake sub 30Hz information to impress).

Me,unless a speaker can go down to at least 25hz in my room I will add a sub.The foundation is a must, for music and movies.

My small HT room is 10x14'!LOL and the larger is around 14x20'. My Klipsch R series with the four Sunfire subs are in the 10x14' room! And I use over 1 Kliowatt of total amp muscle with the Klipshes (most of the time the Klipsches dont need more then 40W total to produce chest caving SPL).The four subs are there to keep up up to extreme levels without audible compression.Ears go into shutdown before the system waves the white flag.

In the larger room I use Dynaudio speakers with three large subs(VeloHGS18,AerialSW12 and Revel B15)this gives me wall curling power down to around 16Hz!Bass is a must, its THE FOUNDATION.

And next year I want to add SVS both Ultra and SS to the music system!I think the Ultra outperforms any other sub up to 5 grand with ease if driven by a mighty power amp and crossed over well.

The only speakers that would not need any sub are the Wilson Grand SLAMM X-1 and the big JMLab(Focal) Grande Utopia. And how about the Dunlavy SCVI,a remarkable speaker with subsonic bass to the linit of human hearing ability and with a holographic imaging.

Pure magic.

I see ...off topic again.
