thxsubwoofers
First time I experienced this, and was quite scared. Lucky thing I woke up and place my hands on top of my new subwoofer to keep it from falling down.
fini
Are you and your family OK? Yeah, earthquakes can be unnerving, for sure. I live in the SF Bay Area, and we get them pretty often. Best of luck to you.
thxsubwoofers
Were all ok. Electricity was off for about 11hrs in our area. I know Big Island got hit with a 6.6. Honolulu Hawaii got hit with about 4-4.5.
chuckears
I have a niece studying in a student exchange program there; curiously, the "go-to" person in the family for information did not even know about the quake 12 hours after it happened, so I have yet to hear how she made out. Snowstorms and earthquakes seem to be picking up the slack from the milder-than-predicted hurricane season...
oldtimer
My wife is there on Oahu and said it was quite a shake! The hospital in Kona where her sister works was hit pretty bad.
justin_tx_16
We have a condo at Casa De Emdeko on Kona. We obviously have not been able to fly out there an check on it, it was a first floor unit. We have heard the salt water pool spilled out and flooded some of the units, but we are unsure of the status of ours. We are all safe on he mainland :-) If anyone lives out in the area of Casa De Emdeko, if you could check on ours haha, that would be great. It's off Alii Dr.
