Al1
Just wanted to update everyone that helped me with the issue of RF-7 sounding a bit "dull". Maybe this is a placebo affect, but I just purchased an Outlaw 7500 amp and it has helped the sound a bit. The (RC-7) center channel now sounds clearer for home theater. (better mids) But the rest (RF-7's) hasn't dramatically improved. I guess I just threw money out the window, but I feel better knowing that I've got lots of wattage. :-)
Fish
Congrats, nice amp. It's not money out the window,it's the start, you need a decent prepro and all will be revealed.
getech
All I can say my friend is Fathom. Check that my friend and you will be amazed!
Al1
I'm sorry but I don't understand what a Fathom subwoofer has to do with getting best sound from RF-7's. Bass has never been an issue for the system (I have Velodyne+RSW15), but without the subs, I've found the RF-7's to be a bit lifeless and having a bit of a gap in the midrange. I've blamed amplifier and room/accoustics already, so my next step might be to give DeanG x-over network a shot. Other suggestions welcomed.
dachuckster
Regarding the Outlaw 7500; Are you still not very impressed? I am considering the 7700 (200 wpc x 7) or maybe just a 7125 (7 X 125 WPC) for my set up. I have the RF7 setup as well, and will be installing a set of CDT 5800-c for rear surrounds... Arky
Travis: I ran 7's with an hk 7200 very nicely. Moved to outlaw 7500, better. Added qsc, best. But better than all that was Dean's reworked network.
