Valjean256
Success has not been high in my quest to obtain a mint pair of Klipsch Chorus II's in clear oak. I was hoping to have them and a KSW-15 sub under the tree for myself ( yes, I know it sounds selfish ) this Christmas but hope is fading fast. If anyone knows of a pair of this magnificent speaker system needing a loving home please post a notification here. I will be watching daily. A pair of mint Chorus II's recently were sold of Ebay for $750. I concider that very reasonable and for any women out there reading this, trust me, my wife will make out like a bandit this year also as she always does. I live in the Boston area and will drive anywhere in New England or Eastern New York to give them the safest transport. Otherwise we can look into various shipping options. I thank you for listening. My future happiness is in your hands. Sincerely, Steve H. This message has been edited by Valjean256 on 12-01-2001 at 04:05 PM
Mike Lindsey
Val, For $750, I will let my 1990 Oiled Oak Chorus II's go. I just bought these in October and here is a thread with some pictures of them - http://216.37.9.58/ubb/Forum16/HTML/000230.html . Luckily, I also have a pair of Chorus I's that I would use as mains until I find a pair of Oiled Oak Cornwalls locally to replace the II's. These speakers are in beautiful condition and I have been driving them with a Denon 4800 pre and Acurus A200X3 amp. I live in Oviedo, FL (area code 32765), which is just outside Orlando. I'm not sure how we would ship them, but I would imagine you would want them put in professional crates. If you're interested, let me know... Mike Edit - A pair of Walnut Chorus II's went for $895 on eBay yesterday where the buyer used the Buy it Now option. Believe it or not, they weren't even perfect as the grilles had some damage... ------------------ My Music Systems This message has been edited by Mike Lindsey on 12-01-2001 at 03:40 PM

Valjean256
Mike, I thank you for the generous offer but the wife is looking for a match with the audio furniture we plan to buy. She likes the Salamander set-up in cherry and she feels that the darker oak would not be a good match. I don't care. I just want great sound but I can't sleep with my eyes open. I'm sure you know what I mean. When I do finally find them I'll be driving them with the Adcom GFA-555 @ 200 a channel along with the companion Adcom pre-amp. Thanks again as the quest continues. As a side comment we agreed that your house is decorated beautifully and we hope that we can make our system meld into our furnishings as well as you have. Sincerely, Steve H. Mike Lindsey
No problem, Steve. It would have pained me to let them go, but I am going to eventually sell them and replace them with some Cornwalls. I hope you find what you're looking for... discusman
hey mike or cornwall owners ... what improvement gain is there going from a chorus II to the cornwall's? also, is placement critical to the cornwalls - meaning can i put them closer to the backwall and sidewalls than the chorus'. thanks for any help here. jhawk92
Mike- If you ever decide to get rid of those Chorus IIs, please let me know. I have a pair of Forte IIs and two pair KG 1.2s in oiled oak. Might have to "sacrifice" the Forte's to the surrounds to bring in the Chorus. Would be a tough one since the Forte's have been incredible. Not sure how shipping would go, but cross that bridge when it comes. jhawk
