DrWho
Does it not work with two eyes due to the triangulation involved? I wonder if you couldn't get a bit fancy with glass and mirrors and hang it on a wall such that it defeats the triangulation of our eyes. It would also make it so the person could never get behind to see it not work too...
meagain
It works with 2 eyes. I had it very close to me before. I put it next to my TV and it's following me around now (both my eyes). I think the effect can be heightened with the proper lighting and angle of the dragon. Perhaps also the color version would be better. Mine's B&W. Who & Colter - make one! There's like... over 1,000 youtubes on this. Including one that made a giant version (printed on poster size paper). This is great trippy fun. Anxious for husband to come home to see how productive I've been today - making dragons and all...... Ooops.

pauln
That dragon is cool but I won't be making one - that thing looks mean and my dog would have it for lunch. Funwith slowed light! Here is a quick and dirty illusion that goes wayback - make a simple pendulum by hanging a little weight on a string, swing it left and right in a vertical plane before you, view with botheyes but with one eye looking through an eyeglass lens (a sunglass lensworks, too). The slight delay in light propogation through the glasswill cause the image location to change for that eye: the resultis that the weight appears to make an orbiting circle instead of justswing back and forth - putting the glass over the other eye reversesthe direction of the orbit. It's really amazingthat the very slightdelay in one "channel" can provoke such a strong illusion.

Something about 1/8th space, perhaps[] For those of you with nice plotters, I think the .jpg I found with a Google "dragon illusion" image search had 16" x 21" dimensions, and should scale up nicely.
