oldbuckster
That looks like a killer deal to me................
NCSharkDriver
People are irritating. I emailed the seller and made an offer. He said someone already offered more, but that they hadn't showed up to his business to get them..... SO..... he is listing them on Ebay. When I offered to save him the auction fee and pay what the other offer was, he declined and said the auction was a done deal, AND that I should just bid. Ain't that some SH*T??? I'm always a day late!
oldbuckster
He wouldn't take the $600.? Something don't smell right, or he found out they are too cheap, bet it's the second......Sorry !!!!!
gigbyt
Sounds like another one of those "DO YOU KNOW WHAT THOSE SPEAKERS ARE WORTH!!!" phone calls was made to the seller.[8o|] that stinks, sorry you didn't get them.
lakedmb
Reminds me of the pair of Cornwall II's I picked up back in April. I found them on Craigslist for $400, black finish, and amazing condition. When I went to pick them up I was talking with the guy and he said he was kicking himself in the butt for not asking for more, since he had gotten so many offers for them. I think that is the best $400 I have ever spent. I love it when people don't realize how nice their gear really is and ask for nothing. Spongeworthy
The funny thing is that they are worth about $600. Cornwalls haven't been bringing much the past 6 months or so.
Shodrewken
Man those look pretty.... If I had the space, I'd jump on those in a heart beat []
NCSharkDriver
I thought they would be a good deal at $600 as well. Raleigh is only an hour from here. But, he wrote obo in has ad and I gave him one... I would hate to pay the $600 AND the shipping to Cali though cviper! WOW! I'm thinking he heard they were Khorns or something and now wants to try and get a grand more for them.... We'll see. Spongeworthy
After I read your earlier reply, I decided to email him as well to see what is up and if they had sold. I already have too much stuff already so I'll let you know if I get a reply.
oldtimer
For clarity's sake they are oak lacquer, not oak oil. Have they been listed on ebay yet? Sellers like this are very irritating.
HudsonValleyNoah
I am not sire if these are the same ones but... NCSharkDriver
They're on eBay this morning. Bids starting at $19; 7 day auction. I guess I'll have to wait and see if someone wants these worse than I...
ejfud
Heres hoping that karma bites this guy in the butt and the bidding is low for these Cornwalls. Hope you get them. I'm really enjoying my first pair these days. Gary
oldtimer
It will be interesting to see if the reserve is $600.
NCSharkDriver
What an A**! Auction ended early because seller no longer has item. Seller's name is Christian Harold out of Raleigh. I highly recommend you don't deal with this guy.
ejfud
Looks like he sold them to someone on another forum. What a weird deal. Gary
