Erik Mandaville
...and that comfortable compromise just might be one that involves the use of an active, high-order line level crossover and the amplifiers of choice for the attic and the basement of the Klipschorn. Many here are already doing that, and it's something that I know, at least on an academic or intellectual level, would probably give welcome rewards in terms of sound quality. Maybe someday I'll do the same. Erik
steve
A belated thanks for the lesson, Mike. And I always learn a lot from you technical guys. Happy Xgiving all! Steve
Marvel
Years ago, before I became acquainted with the KHorn, a friend of mine had what I think were a set of Speakerlab corner horns. We stopped by one day to have a listen while on our lunch break. They were sitting a good four feet out from the corners. You could walk around behind them. I know this was not the correct placement for them, however they sounded great in his room. Now it makes me wonder what they would have sounded like if they had been tucked into the corners.
