Welshstar
Hi I was looking at Cornwalls but have been offered a set of 1980 ish la Scala's for $1500. they are in decent condition but not fantastic. Is this a decent price ? It seems resonable to me but id just like some feedback. If I was to purchase them im thinking of using either the NAD M55 CD or the Marantz SA-15S1 CD, what would be a good value easily available amp ? from my last post im thinking Jolida. Appreciate any thoughts or comments, in the past ive received great info on my quest to build a new system. Thanks
Guest " "
1500 is way to much for 1980 LaScala's. 1980's should fall between 800 and 1000.
oldbuckster
If it's not a large room, the La Scala's will dominate it ....... your choice, ME , I'm shopping for Cornwalls, that's alot for 80's La Scala's
jtnfoley
I paid $850 for laquered birch designer LS, consecutive serial numbers, 9/10 condition, original cane grills, circa 1983. $1500 sounds like way too much money.
sean5340
I wouldn't give $1500 for them, but I would't take $1500 for mine! Sean
oldbuckster
There seems to be many, many Fine Examples of La Scala's for sale right now, and they are all under $1,500. ....... Too Bad I wasn't lookin' for La Scala's

Daddy Dee
I paid $1302 for Khorns in quite decent condition.
greg928gts
$1500 is what they SHOULD be worth. It is not difficult to find speakers that cost two to three times that much that don't even come close to making music the way La Scala's do. BS Button
It all depends upon condition. If they're mint, trip the switch. BS
Daddy Dee
One thing to consider. If you don't have to ship them, that savings could be worth $400 - $600 or more.
