Rudy81
Well, I gave up trying to figure out if the Integra DHC 9.9 will sound good. I ordered one. Now I will find out for myself.
Arky
Attaboy. Best way to find out too. Do they offer a trial period like Outlaw? Oh, and do post a review.[]
Rudy81
NO, no trial period. I am confident that if I don't like it I can sell it on Audigon or eBay. However, I think it will meet my needs just fine. I will certainly put up my impressions. I researched this unit quite a bit and there is a lot of information, but not much when it comes to 2ch. listening. I did find a few 'analog sound is less than other units on the market', but that doesn't tell me much. I don't want to spend $4000+ on another pre/pro that will be obsolete in a few years. I suspect the sound will be adequate for me since I use my C2 for 2ch listening of digital sources. Source sent to C2 via optical or SPDIF. Thus, the only difference is going to be the quality of the D/A converters in the Integra vs. the Parasound. I just can't imagine them to be so much worse that I won't want it. Worst case my plan is to keep them both and use the HALO for 2ch. listening and the Integra for movies and multi-channel decoding. Same amps regardless. As soon as I have my first listen I will start a new thread since this is really about the DTC 9.8.
IndyKlipschFan
That's a good outlook too... I wonder how the Emotiva vs the Integra would go as well?
