Did you read the books? I have found that most of the people who didn't like the movie haven't read the books. ------------------ Denon AVR-2800 KG-4 mains (too bad the rest of my speakers aren't this good) Polk C-175 center (it's ok) Infinity RS-10 Surrounds (suck) Audiosource SW-15 subwoofer (excellent sub for it's price) Pioneer DV333 DVD Sony 5 disc CD player All in a 12x12 apartment bedroom. DoomsDay
Read part of the book... and LOVED the movie. Have gone to seen it twice and will definitely get it on DVD when it comes out. Unsure why you did not enjoy it - care to comment as to why ? Just curious... -DoomsDay
Marshal
I never read the book and when I found out the movie was being made, decided not to read it still. I didn't want to go into the theater with any preconceptions as to what it should look like. I saw the trailers and had already gotten some idea even before then about what it was basically about. So when I finally did see it a few weeks ago, I enjoyed it a lot. Yeah, at three hours it is a bit long, but don't let that stop you. It is a visual feast. Makes me want to go to NZ even more. A beautifully filmed movie and a good story so far. Looking forward to the next two.
Kain
I just came back from the Theater, and I loved it! BTW, I haven't read any of the books. ------------------ Home Theater: Display: Sony VPL-VW11HT 16:9 LCD Projector Receiver: Denon AVC-A11SR (European version of Denon AVR-4802) DVD Player: Sony DVP-NS900 (European version) Center: Klipsch RC-7 Mains: Klipsch RF-7s Surrounds: Klipsch RS-7s Subwoofer: SVS CS-Ultra w/Samson S1000 amplifier
seventeenmonkeys
i have also seen the movie a couple of times and loved it even though i did not read the books. i'm not planning to either cause i don't want it to spoil the second and third parts. one complaint i have heard is that it has a bad endind, but itried explainig to the guy that the movie isn't finished, but he keeps telling that it was stupid the way it ended. in terms of special effects and even the sound, i cannot think of a movie that has better.
