Jolida cd 100 mods-What and where?

Board member HarryB was kind enough to exchange emails regarding this topic saying that Burr Brown chip updates as well as 96/124 are a good idea. He also said there is a compoany that board memebers have used but couldn't remember the name. Could anyone here who has been through the mod process let me know where to go?

I know about Underwood Wally; however I don't think his mods are worth the price. The Jolida I bought already had upgraded tubes and Underwood mods don't address the chip update and 96/124

There are Level One owners in here that would disagree with your assessment, but YMMV.

Do tell, beyond it being a "good idea," what improvements are claimed for a chip update and the "96/124?"

I had an AH CD player that had all of the upgrades and tubes. Unless you pick up a unit for a good price that already has all of the upgrades, save your money and buy a used higher end player. I think that you can get Rega's pretty cheap now. I didn't believe this an dlearned it the hard (expensive) way.
