Randy Taylor
I read somewhere that you can get a kit from Klipsch that will make a Heresy II have the same specs. as the Heresy III. What I want to know is how much is it in price, is it worth it making it sound like a Heresy III, ( I already love the way my Heresy II sound ) []and who do I contact If I decide to make the change. lakedmb
I believe the cost is around $250 or so per speaker. Contact Klipsch directly for the kit.
Arky
Randy, do a search. There were a couple threads this year. The consensus was it's well worth it.
Marvel
And I would be interested in the old drivers. You can PM me if interested. Bruce
Groomlakearea51
Correct. It can only be done with a square terminal cup (late 1987+). The cost from parts is about $280 each speaker and the kit comes with everything except the K-701 horn (you unbolt your K-53 driver and bolt on the new one). Couple sets were, however, sold with an extra 701 horn, but that question has not been resolved. Not that you would need one, but a new horn is only $12-$13, so it's no big deal if you want to take your H-II drivers and stick them in a pair old "beater" H-II's for a grage pair. The result is that your old H-II, except for the age of the cabinet..., is for all intents and purposes, now an H-III.
colterphoto1
# 1006972 for $272 last price I knew of. Call Parts and order a couple. By the time you sell your parts, it'll probably cost about net $150 per cabinet to upgrade. And it's a considerable upgrade. You should be reusing your old horn, I think they got that straightened out. 1-800-554-7724 Parts.

You can build Tangent 400 cabinets, and get great bass from the HII parts. Bruce
