slappy957
I have an RW-12d subwoofer. I have a single subwoofer audio out on the back of my receiver. Should I use a splitter so that I can connect to both the right and left input ports on the back of my subwoofer, or should I just use a single cable and connect it to the left input only (which is what is indicated in the manual)? Does it even make a difference?

slappy957
NOTE: The reason I am asking this is because the guy at Radio Shack said to split it. He's probably an idiot, but I want to be sure.
Mr. RF62
You know some people that work at Radio Shack are not idiots. Some take thier job seriously, at least I did, may be why people still come into the store I used to be at asking for me.
TNRabbit
In this case, he is an idiot. Both inputs on this sub sum into one channel, as with MOST subs.
slappy957
I apologize if I impugned the character of those who work at Radio Shack. Thank you for the comments; my question has been answered.
Mr. RF62
Its all good, I understand where your coming from though. Sometimes we, know more than what comes out of the mouth behind the desk/store.

IndyKlipschFan
Some pre amps have a sub 1 sub2 sub3 output. So if your signal is low.. A "Y" adapter is a good find to bost the signal! of the pre amp to the amp itself. So not in all cases is the dude from rat shack a idiot. mark1101
On the subs I have the Velodyne manual specifically recommends using a splitter for more signal on the input to the sub.
