dharris
Although i have been into Home Audio for some time now, I'm a newb with horns. What is a good speaker placement tostart with? Thanks guys in advance... PS: Diana Krall, her voice sounds amazing with my Klipsch XB-10 speakers.

dharris
Thank you for the information, but as I said in my post I'm not a newb when it comes to home audio. Thought maybe there was a special way for horn type speakers.
Moderators Youthman Posted November 2, 2008 Moderators Share Posted November 2, 2008 Your original question is a pretty broad question. I have my RF-83's about 1 foot away from the wall and toed in slightly towards my listening area to improve the soundstage and imaging as well as reduce early reflections. dharris
You are right, was kind of in a hurry when posting. So even with wide dispersion with horns, you still would toe in. Just as normal, i will have the wife change positions while I listen. Thanks guys!
Islander
If you use a laser level (they can be set for vertical or horizontal), it's much easier to aim and position the speakers precisely.
Moderators Youthman Posted November 2, 2008 Moderators Share Posted November 2, 2008 So even with wide dispersion with horns, you still would toe in. Absolutely. Possibly all the more reason to toe them in. Regardless of speaker type, toeing in helps with early reflections.
