    Sorry, couldn't resist....My REL Stentor came with 30' cables....Most subs are located at a longer distance from the cabinet....shorter wouldn't hurt, but the difference would be inaudible I suspect with LF signals...

    The difference between a 3 meter and a 10 meter would be 7 meters....not sure about the 12 meter
