    Gangs of New York.

No...but i have seen him in "The Beach".
  2. I think he or the salemen meant two RSW-12 or one RSW-15. There is no RW-15.

Come on guy's! Leonardo as a Gang Leader? In the the movie I was pulling for Lewis Character.

    Gangs of New York.

Would have been better without Leonardo DeCrapo.
  5. I think they purposefully delayed the first two releases to coincide with the theatrical release on the sequel. Now that the last one is out in theaters I don't think they will wait 11 months for the DVD. Keep checking VidoeETA.com. Right now the estimate is April 2004 for the vidoe.
  6. You can do it a couple of ways. First, you should be able to set your receiver on the LEF output to both sub/mains so that your main get the LEF or set you receivers cross over frequency lower (Say 60-40) to blend into your mains. I don't know what you meant by splitting you LEF? DO you want to run two subs?.
  7. The Extended Edition is DEFINTLY better than the the original release. The Two Towers EE is one of the Best Movies ever produced. Can wait for Return of the King.
  8. You can connect your subwoofer a couple of ways. Using the RCA (75mm) sub out from your receiver, you can connect it to the right input jack on your subwoofer. Or you can use a 1 to 2 splitter ($5-$10) and connect to both left and right input. With this connection set your receiver to subwoofer on. That is the prefered way. You can also run your speaker wires on your receiver (Main) to your subwoofer speaker input jacks and then run wires from from your speaker output on the sub to your mains. Set your subwoofer setting on your receiver to mains.
  9. If you don't have a HD or 480p capable TV you will be playing the DVD in interlace mode and will not see the benifit of Progressive Scan players. That being said, if you plan on upgrading your TV in the near future it may be worth it. My only caution on Sony DVD players is that Consumer Reports did not notice a difference in picture quality between Progressive and Interlace on Sony players. This could mean that the picture quality was already outstanding but it made me wonder about mine.
  10. Don't go with a SW subwoofer..They were not designed for Home Theater use. If you want to stick with a Klipsch sub and on a budget then go with the RW-12. If you have more to spend they go with either the RSW-12 or 15.
  11. For the RF-35 around 499 ea. RC-35 around 299. I don't know prices on the RS
  12. I don't thinks length matters unless you are talking 100' or more. The smaller the gage number the thicker the wire.
  13. Schlepper, If you are limited to Best Buy for your receiver then you two choices a Yamaha and Sony. I have been using Klipsch/Yamaha for many years and would recommend the combinations. I have nothing against Sony products, however, I have notices that the Total Distortion is much higher that products from H&K,Denon and Yamaha. Check the Specs. In addition, generaly most Sony products are on the high end on prices (i.e. TV's, Sat. Receivers, etc.) except their HT receivers? Seems strange to me.

    The Hulk

He looked like a Mexican Jumping Bean when he ran.
  15. The only reason SVS owners ("rep's") are speaking praise is because they had to buy the subs before they can hear them and now they are stuck with them. If they want to return them they now have to eat two shipping cost to return them.
  16. And you say SVS owners in here are not reps? right.
  17. GoHack, as you can see anytime subs are mentioned you get many responces from the SVS reps in this forum. Let me just say at any refernce line from Klipsch will sound great with your system. As always the more you want to spend the more you will get. I find it amusing when people spend less then 300-500 dollars on a sub and then complain that it's not enough bass. If you want something to shake your house then you need to spend at least 1,000.
  18. You can get all the release dates at videoeta.com
  19. On your budget you can get the RW-12. Don't even consider the KSW line. I picked up the RW-12 for 599 when they first came out so you should get one even cheaper now.
  20. It's estimated to be released in April 04
  21. I have mine connected to the LEF only. When I am listening to non DD or DTS signals I let the Receivers DPS take care of sending signal to the sub. By the way, i have my receiver set to both on LEF so bass is sent to the mains and sub.
  22. Don't worry about conecting your HD signal with DVI. A component connection will give you the High-Def signal. The main reason the DVI connection is out is in order to prevent copy right protection which is being pushed by the recording company.
  23. Yes..If your receiver has sub out and you connected it to the LFE in back of your subwoofer then the internal cross over on the sub is by-passed. Then you can play with the receivers cross-over. 80 hz is a good starting point.
  24. There is a better DVD to calibrate your audio and video equipment called "Digital Video Essentails". It should be out as I speak. I have not used it but the reviews say its better than the AVIA. You should get it for less than $20
  25. jmrswr, I had the same experiance with Ultimate Electronics here in Tulsa. I paciently waited for the RW line to show up. After they were already shipped Ultimate said they had 300 RW-8 on the way and no RW-10 comming. I then contacted another Klipsch Ref. Dealer and they had both RW-8 and 10 in stock. I then returned the 10 for the 12 when they came out the first week of August. At this point ultimate does not have the RW-12. I think because of the distribution with large retailer that they are so behind on availability. Check with specialty eletronics dealers. Return the RW-10 and get the 12".
