  1. Sunfire, bob carvers current company, offers service for many of his older products. best to contact them at 425-335-4748 ext. 1018. not sure what the cost would be but at least it would be a 'factory' repair.
  2. poking around the 'new' website and noticed that a Klipschorn Jubilee is now listed in the heritage line. hmmmmmmm................
  3. showed up today. i like i like i like.
  4. an "official" Klipsch wall plaque. it's in the 'store' part of this site under gear. already ordered mine.
  5. mine are all black, never regretted the choice. at least to me it's how they sound not how they look that's most important. they sound beautiful.
  6. I'd say it's worth a try. my RF-7's are connected to older carver amps with front panel watt meters. during normal listening the needles don't even move. the only problem you may have is that the 15's aren't as 'sensitive' as the 7's (102db to 96db) so yours will need more to run. I'd just keep the volume at a reasonable level.
  7. I saw T3 in the theater and it blew. one of the few films I felt like getting up and leaving half way though it (but I didn't) weak weak weak all the way though.
  8. mOOn, I know what you mean. I just saw the movie today and as soon as left the theater i headed straight to my dealer and bought another pair of RF-7's to use as surrounds. when he asked me "why?" i said "go see revolutions and you'll understand." as for amps, I'm using older Carver TFM-45's all around. with 375 watts per channel these things can deliver all the power any movie can demand.
  9. depending on your budget and what your looking for, check out www.sunfire.com . Bob Carver owns the company and i have been using his stuff for 13 years with great satisfaction. he curently offers the "classic vacuum tube preamp" as well as a full blown HT pre/pro, the "theater grand III" (which i have)and a two others. all offer phono inputs. just my 2 cents worth. don
  10. it is possible that your receiver isolates the video input/output. meaning that a composite video in will only go out thru the composite output. svideo and component video in/outs being handled the same way. my pre-pro is a Sunfire Theater Grand III, a fairly 'high end' unit and it does video this way. check to see if the video in from the 'box' is the same as the out to the tv on your receiver.
  11. skin flics have sound tracks? hmm, never noticed
  12. Hi all. I'm looking to buy a pair of RB-5II's. checked the dealers around here and Ebay but no luck so far. preferably black but cherry ok too. if anyone has a pair for sale please let me know. thank's Don
  13. original monster 12 gauge with monster 'quick lock' banana plugs.
  14. nothing to worry about. mine are in a room that is 12x20 and although it doesn't take much power to get them to go loud they sound just as good at moderate levels (relative to the room size) like you i plan on keeping my 7's for a very long time so go ahead and get them and enjoy. don
