I have an extended cab. So I'm going to get the stuff mentioned in the post and head to Michigan on Monday morning. The weather forcast shows 0% chance of rain. that scares me.

Well I'll be celebrating my birthday in an hour, then Going to a cookout on Saturday. On Monday I go get my pair of Khorns in Detroit. Happy Birthday to me.

As some of you know I bought some vintage Khorn and am going up to Michigan to pick them up Monday. Note to self take pens sticker off truck window. Neil gave me great advice on what to bring, but I was wondering if some of you might have some tips to make the trip go easier. I'm driving a 92 ford ranger with no cap.
Thanks
Tom
I've had mine for several years, my first Klipsch. They sound great to me, I have Chorus, Cornwall, Hersey and these and these are my main two channel speakers, at least till next Monday. I never used a sub, just never felt the need.

I think I may have found some RP-302's locally. I love this town, so many old radio/audio guys. If so I'm going to try them. I am also going to get one tweeter to match the university so I have original equipment. I'm looking forward to these speakers.
Tom
I am doing a lot of research on old khorn's and am definitely keeping them as original as possible without compromising the sound. I can see I have a lot to learn.

I have been to the Auburn, Cord, Duuesenberg Museum in Indiana. If you tried to pass off a newer v8 instead of the straight 8 they would string you up. Do you catch any of the big brown trout in Arkansas? Nobody has any opinion about which, if any, tweeter is better.?
I'd like to restore them to as close to original condition as possible. So like Neil said the crossovers will be first. Later I can worry about the tweeters. I consider them as I would an old car, I wouldn't throw a 350 chevy into a Auburn speedster.
I just bit the bullet and bought the 54 and 56 Khorn in the Garage Sale section. I'm pretty excited and pretty clueless about them. I was wondering how the older models stand up to the new models? I was also looking for advice about which tweeter is better, the EV-35 or the University tweeter. I'm looking into crossover upgrades also. I've heard that you should keep the old ones and just buy new ones and keep the old ones original. As a first time Khorn owner any other advice would be appreciated. I'd also like to thank Neil for his assistance.

With the approaching Hurricane season I always looked forward to Groomslakearea51's post. I checked and found that he wasn't an active member, did something happen? I hope not.

I'm glad Nick didn't get the shaft. Great Series, of course I'm happy the Pens won. The parade was today and there were 350.000 fans in the city for it, during work hours. We may not be hockey town, but we are working on it.
Jeff
I really like me MC250's. What are you using as a pre? I have to disagree with you on the looks 100%. I think they are one of the cooler looking amps out there.

Can't really feel too good about that performance as a Pens fan. The worst they played in the playoffs, perhaps since the new coach. I was suprised how they came apart in that game. I hope they pull it together here for Tuesday's game. Go Pens. Here hoping for a game seven
