If you buy a pair of Cornwalls and two years later buy a second pair, stack them on top of the first pair, and get away with it........You couldn't be a "lickspittle" could you? Terry
  5. Has anyone removed a Cornwall motor-board? How difficult? Is it glued? Andy HDBR? Anyone? Thanks, Terry
  6. Dee, Will there be CWs at the par-taaay? Regards, Terry

When you are thinking of architectural sites, I'm wondering about the kind of things you would find interesting. At least one person has got reservations at the Peabody. ------------ Colin, I have reservations at the Peabody also, so that makes two of us. It is a very nice hotel (AR. Standards) and I am splurging . Depending on the view, $120.00 - $235.00. Speak with "Mae". She can get the $235.00 down to $159.00. This is a well deserved mini vacation for me. There are more cost-effictive places in the area. Regards, Terry
  9. I can tell that you young men never saw Jimi................. Twice, and once in a 1,500 seat opra house, not at the superbowl. Row 5, center. The count was 28 Marshall's(sp?) for he and Noell Redding. What? Could you speak up? David who? ...just kidding....he was great Terry

"we could have you back home before daylight"......Yea, I have heard that one before......... Guys, Do not speak to my wife!!!!!!!!! I must be out of town on business May 8. Terry
  11. I love appreciation. I ordered my first set of vert decorators and paid $350.00 in '73. In '75, I ordered oiled walnut and paid $850.00.......but then again I could have ordered a new Vet for less than $4,000.00. Regards, Terry
  12. As explained to me many years ago...... Horn loaded and placed in corners...... Have someone speak to you in a normal voice, and then cup their hands over their mouth........(horn) Have someone stand with their back in a corner, speak in a normal voice and walk away from the corner.....(corner placement) Terry
  13. John, Lynn wants to paint and put new carpet in the LR. She has started to ask if the 511-b/902-16a could be placed in cabinets(gulp) ......It may be time to bring in the 4x50' rolls of single face cardboard!!! How quickly they forget. Talk to you soon Terry

  16. Hawk, Killer cabinets! If you are not too hung-up on vintage "original", they could be super retro's. I'll bet TomB already has some Altec coaxial substitutes in his head. Maybe a little 1000 cycle horn to boot? Could be a great second or third system. Bedroom TV? Terry
  17. Bob, What would you expect from a Bozak dealer? Terry

A writer whose opinion I respect, Mark Tobak, said the D-60 produced "some of the sweetest, most natural sounding output available." (Audio Alternative, p. 41, Tobey, 1975) Of course, he liked Phase Linear 400s too. I've used a couple of these amps and found them OK, but nothing to get excited about. Also, beware of mechanical noise. Several "pancake" amps like the D-75, JBL, and BGW can have significant transformer hum. This varies from unit to unit, but can be an extremely annoying trait. ---------------- Bob, I have looked for the proper word to describe the DC-300 sound. Thanks, "Wirey" is right on the money.
