No its not from the port being glued in fine sometimes when air comes out a certain way or to fast from much bass you can hear port noise its noise from the air coming out.

Make sure your sub is in a corner and youll get a ton of bass big time!!! If its not you wont. Im serious it should be really loud you got a defective sub if it isint your old system wouldnt even come close! Im serious too.

Amy how about guessing theyll come out today or tomorrow?

Man I got 16gauge monster cable wire and hooked it up to my speaks. Bass goes through much clearer i love it!

Stick with the 4.1s. I have the 4.2s and there great. You dont need the 5.1s for a cramped space. Mise well wait till you get out of college then theyll have an even better speaker set out :-). Plus you dont need anymore for a computer setup the 4.1s are outstanding compared to the competition!

Get a sony trinitron tv!!! 36inch there nice! speakers I love my klipsch 4.2s haha but I guess your not going to use those for a HT setup

Naa you didnt get screwed. If you have any klipsch speakers your all good. I have the 4.2s and I love emmm so much! I replaced my speaker wire with 16gauge monster cable and it does indeed let bass flow through the sats much better. My friend did the wiring for me so I really cant explain it. Someone here can explain it well and I suggest you do it.

The 4.2s are $299. And i have them and think they are great. First of all the subs on the 4.2 are prob or def louder then the 4.1s by having each sub in its own box and having 130watts to each sub it is really loud!! I think they are greaaat. I use to have the v.2 400s and I like the 4.2s way better!

274-868 from radioshack. Ill have to take pictures maybe tomorrow. It was tricky for me though I had to have someone else do it. There was prob an easier way but its done and its all good.

I finally bought new monster cable 16guage and i have it hooked up to my speakers. One thing I must say I can turn them up really loud and the sats can now handle the bass much better! I love it!!

Nevermind I bought the wrong things Im gonna go back tomorrow and get the gold plated ones i read in another post.

Just got my 16 gauge wire (monster) and my mono plugs. IM so excited but i have to wait till tomorrow because someone is going to sauder the mono plugs on th wire for me! Im confused though not sure if I got the right plugs. AT radio shack on the little post thing it said 1/8" mono plug. ON the thing its in it says 1/8" Two-Conductor phone Plugs. Theres 2 in a package. Are these right?? Thanks

its just like the 4.1s sub but theres one speaker. The amp is 130 watts. My port is facing the wall i think it sounds much better that way. The two subs in seperate boxes are really loud its so awesome!

You know what though i have the promedia 4.2s which contain the 2 6 1/2 subs in their own boxes with 130watt amps each. I think these subs are great and do not know if I would need 2 8s. I like the subs in their own boxes cause i had the v.2 400s before. But really i love my 4.2s and im so happy with them. They bump!

Yeah Sub thats all you have to do by another set. I have the 4.2s and they are awesome I Love em to death!!!

Hey man if you like the monsoons better then get them. You dont wanna be sorry if you get the klipschs and dont like them. Whatever sounds best to you you get. I have the 4.2s and I think there ******* awesome!

Hmm i had a problem and I sent my speakers back and they paid for shipping. I got my new speaker in like 3 days. It worked out all good for me Klipsch took care of my problems like champs!

I wouldnt open it by yourself. I would call Amy first. If you open it you might break the warranty.

I had the same problem cody. All you need is a new preamp. Ask Amy and she will send you a new one no problems. Dont worry about it the preamp will fix em just like new!

Well like i said i have the v.2 400s before and now i have the 4.2s. The 4.2s take over the 400s I think. The bass with the 2 subs is like wooooo simma down na! and the sats I dont notice anything really different! The lower wattage I dont think changed anything. The are soooo loud and doo not distort its so great!

Well ive owned a set of v.2 400s which are very close to the 4.1s. I dont know how much of a difference the new crossovers and preamp make for the new 4.1s. I have the 4.2s now and they sound outstanding. The bass is very close the same I would say if not more. It does seem a little louder to me I guess but they are awesome speakers and I would recomend them to anyone. I would say they are just as good as the 4.1s!!
