  1. Siverchair, Frogstomp, CD, Rock & Roll Don't know much about the band but there's some heavy guitars on this one, Crank this one up!
  2. Rick James, "Bustin' out of L Seven", CD, R&B/Funk If we're gonna go funk, lets not forget Rick. May he rest in peace.
  3. Dean, I would like to give it a try. I'll try to reach you on your cell phone. Frank
  4. I tried a DB212 (6 watts a side i think) on the cheap. I believe it did have connectors for a p.a. but I have a manual for it and it was for in home use. I used it with a CD player for a while. It was rather old, and being stock took some time to warm up and of course did not have enough juice for RF-7's. I planned to use it for soldering practice, but of course never got around to it. Right now it's sitting in the garage gathering dust. If anyone would like to try it, I would not be opposed to letting it go. It seems I find listening to music more enjoyable than working on equiment. The photo attach doesn't seem to want to work. E-mail me if interested in a photo. frank.p.hess@sargentlundy.com Tube compliment= (2) 7199 RCA Electron blackplates (2) Motorola 12AX7's (4) RCA 6V6GT's & (1) Matsushita 6CA4
  5. Van Morrison, Live in Sanfrancisco ,CD, R&B Van's best live (recorded) performance to date. Lots of special guests, Candy Dalfer, Jimmy Witherspoon and many others. Van's daughter Shana sings backup on some songs with the voice of angel. Happy Friday! []
  6. http://cls.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?preatube&1154393356 Still available on A'gon. Where's all the Peaches?
  7. Just saw this on Audiogon...... http://cls.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?preatube&1154214711

  9. Still available if anyone's interested.
  10. http://chicago.craigslist.org/emd/163561426.html Saw this ad on Craigslist, thought someone here might be interested. Lots of LPs for sale.
  11. nicholtl, My avatar is not actually my personal vehicle. I have a stock version of that truck. That avatar is what my truck aspires to be some day. (Also, I wouldn't be able to fit that beast in my garage.)
  12. Craig David, "Born To Do It", CD, R&B/Urban Soul While there was a single from this album (Fill Me In) played on MTV, Craig's debut album is filled with great songs with clever lyrics and great beats. This is more of a "car" or "date" CD because of its pace and romantic flavor. []It's also a nice change from the repetitive "hip-hop" heard every day on countless radio stations. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00005EAXZ/sr=8-2/qid=1148404992/ref=pd_bbs_2/103-6941722-2071040?%5Fencoding=UTF8
  13. Older amps had green LED, newer ones blue (since around the AVM 30's introduction). Sorry, can't be swapped - different voltage, mounting, number of leads. I have 2 MCA-20s with different color LED lights. I contacted Anthem to see if I could get one of the MCA-20's LED lights changed and above is his response. So I'm keeping the older one and will offer the newer one for sale here. I paid 960 a month ago, brand new. I'll part with it for $750.00 + shipping. (A local sale would be nice though.) It is black with a blue LED. It has about 10 hours on it. I have original box, manual, packing & chord. Please send e-mail to frank.p.hess@sargentlundy.com if interested. Thanks.
  14. http://www.cobaltcable.com/audio_interconnect.htm A little more than $50.00, but not by much.
  15. I would snag Analog's Bottlehead Foreplay @ 350.00. http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/thread/734270.aspx
  16. John Lee Hooker, Hooker & Heat, CD, Blues John Lee hooker on his own is the man. When he got together with Canned Heat for a double album it get's "double good". The version of "Boogie Chillen No. 2" on CD2 is about 15 minutes long and worth the price of admission alone. One of my favorites. Boogie Chillen! Thebes, Nice choice on Buddy Guy. His club, "Legends", is right down the street from where I work. Excellent guitar player and singer.
  17. I see, my fault, didn't notice the dates. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Mine are still sounding as sweet as ever. Thanks again.
  18. Dean, Is this a "new and improved" crossover upgrade for the RF-7's? I recall the RC-7 upgrade being that big, but not the RF-7.
  19. Maceo used to play Saxaphone with James Brown back in the day. This is by far my favorite Maceo album. Live album, recorded well, very funky, good pace between fast and slow songs. Great for a party!
  20. If nothing else, at least point it out to them, have them check all the drivers, and maybe they'll reduce the price some.
  21. I have the exact same crack in one of my RF-7's. This happened when my speaker was on spikes and was knocked over, with full weight, to the floor. While I believe this to be purely "cosmetic", I would check all the drivers and connections to make sure nothing else is wrong. I believe it takes a lot of force to create a crack like that.
  22. In another thread, a member mentions upgrading his source to the new Rega Apollo CD player. Which is considered better, a tube CD player or something like the Rega Apollo?
  23. Van Morrison - Skiffle Sessions, Live in Belfast 1998 It is an upbeat, folksy, bluegrassy live session with Lonne Donnegan, Chris Barber and Dr. John.
  24. From the album, "When Pigs Fly" Ani Difranco & Jackie Chan singing Nat King Cole's, "Unforgettable" http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000067FTM/sr=8-27/qid=1146074445/ref=sr_1_27/102-0451534-2740951?%5Fencoding=UTF8
