It's not a feeder hose, just some pipe insulation, with the cover missing. Removing or rerouting baseboard isn't an option. This weekend I'm going to slap together the false corners. I don't think there's too much danger of heat getting to the speaker cabinets, the f.c.'s should dissipate it, as was voiced above.
What is the consentual length of the staves on the f.c.'s? Will 3 feet from the back angle do?

This is a real jewelry store in Boston, not photoshopped. I wonder if the owner knows why it's hip...
Heh. The right one is the mirror image of the left. On the plus side, this space is all mine to do what I please with it, on the minus side there isn't much to be done...aside from the false corners, which I will put together this coming weekend. Why is the 3/4" thickness plywood recommended ? Does the thickness make a difference?
Got the baseboard AND the window. What would you suggest I do with this situation to improve...well, just about everything.
This is the only place where she can stay..

My Blueberry Xtreme phono stage started to produce significant white noise / hiss, and the volume/gain had to be turned up all the way to get a decent volume. I switched the stock 12AT7s and the 12AX7 tube to the ones I had in my old Bogen reciever. There was an immediate improvement in sound. I don't have a tube tester, so I don't know which one of the stock tubes was going kaput. Does it matter that the 12AT7 tubes I pulled out of the Bogen are from different manufacturers? One is Sylvania and the other is Bogen-branded.
Jazz is more complicated than most women.
You don't just go around asking - "Hey, well, I'm looking for a woman, please recommend one, don't know much 'bout 'em, so...please."
Unless you do go around asking something like that. In that case you need Yanni, Kenny G and a box of Almaden Golden Chablis.
Larry, thanks for your exhaustive reply. I don't think I'll want anything really fancy. I've got to check out eBay and see if I can score any decent Klipsch in-wall speakers there. This should be pretty cool once we're done.
I wish i could put a pair of Heresies in there. Actually...I might just be able to do that. In the ideal world I'd have 2 iPods hooked up to 2 Scott 299B's powering up the Heresies,
Now back to reality...
Anyone use Klipsch in-wall speakers? If so, which ones do you recommend? I don't need anything large, just something that will sound good in my office.
Thanks!
I wouldn't just put records that were stored in paper sleeves for 30 years right into the plastic sleeves. Odds are those records are dirty and dusty and moldy and would need to be cleaned first. That's a HUGE topic in its own right.

Virgin vinyl makes a lot of the difference whether a new or almost new record will have surface noise or not.
I love Virgin vinyl!l Especially the Japanese Lps.
